HISTORY AND MISSION
Book Club of the North Shore was founded in 2001. It originally included five members. It has grown to comprise of approximately 12 to 15 members—all women who live on the North Shore of Chicago.
The group meets once a month at the home of one of its members. Occasionally, the group will take a “field trip” to a site significantly connected to a book read.
Books are chosen by the group at the December meeting. Members take turns leading the discussion. The group tries to include a variety of books throughout the year, including fiction and non-fiction, history, classics, and best sellers, too.
